Founded in 2011, CIP is a majority-Black women-led organization dedicated to addressing systemic inequities and empowering residents through various initiatives. Their mission is to serve historically excluded communities, predominantly Black, Brown, and Indigenous, by cultivating grassroots leadership and building community resilience through collective action.

CIP's efforts include providing food boxes to families experiencing food insecurity, developing local leaders, and changing the narrative about the community. Their work fosters trust and collaboration among residents, creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for all.
